Motion Study's project is to explore the haphazard development of locational identity as a sort of schizophrenia experienced via overlapping past and present experiences. Also as a process that is inexorably social, and political. The initial drafts of stills 0-19 were performed in February 2005, as part of a Cambridge Series poetry reading [Cambridge, UK]. Future plans involve presenting the 'stills' on transparent material [i.e., glass or plastic] and pairing them with a sequence of digital prints made via video; the installation of the project should overlap these two layers of text and image.
